Al Makmur

In between the hustle and bustle of the wholesalers, retailers, roadside shops, street peddlers, shoppers, and other walks of life in the Tanah Abang District of Central Jakarta, there lies a really old mosque of more than 300 years of age. Masjid Al Makmur.

I was around to pick up the packages of dates for our #RamadhanDatesDistributionDrive this late afteenoon, and had the chance to do my Asar prayer there, simply enjoying the chit-chatting crowds of resting shoppers, neighbourhood mothers, kids coming for their Qur’an class, and simply the ambience. 😌

Leaving the mosque, I noticed children playing football at the courtyard and managed to quickly take this lovely shot. 😎

It was truly gorgeous! πŸ₯°

Ps: It was also truly humbling that our dates supplier closed their shop for Asar prayer at the mosque too. You kinda knew then that you could really trust them to be genuine and honest in their business. Insyaa Allah. 😊
